We began our adventure at 5:30 am Monday morning! Are we insane? Well, a little! We put the kids right in the car with their jammies on and started the 16 hour drive from Tillamook to Utah. Oh boy! Let the fun begin! It worked out great to let the kids keep sleeping for a while in the car.
Here we are at our first stop in The Dalles just outside the Columbia River Gorge. So far so good! No complaints yet!
We drove for several more hours and found a nice grassy rest stop to let the kids get out and run and play!
We planned on staying the night in Boise but when we arrived it was only 3 in the afternoon! The kids were doing great so we kept on driving! Here we are in Glenns Ferry Idaho letting the kids play at the park.
By the time we drove to Twin Falls we figured we might as well drive the rest of the way home! So we pushed it! We arrived in Tooele at 10:30 that night exactly 16 hours from the time we left Tillamook! We drove the entire 16 hours in one day! Yes, I guess we are crazy after all! But really the kids were TROOPERS! Wow, hands down to Ty, Mara, and Caleb for being the best little travelors! We were worried how Caleb would do that long in the car but he was the perfect little boy. Thank you daddy for the preisthood blessing the night before! He was happy, content, and we know prayers are answered. Ty and Mara both got along extremely well. No melt downs, fighting, teasing! It was a miracle to say the least! Thanks again Nate for letting us come out and visit we miss you but we are having a fabulous time!

After reading your updates....Looks like you've had a fabulous time with your family! Yay! :) Are you driving home by yourself or is Nate flying down to help you?
What ward are your parents in in Tooele? One of my missionary companions lives there too. Don't know her ward.
