Memories in McCall Idaho!

I can cross another item off my bucket list: visit McCall Idaho! I don't know why, but I've always wanted to go there and we did! After we finished all we could see and do in Boise we headed north for the weekend to camp in McCall.
To help the road trip we had plenty of snacks....some were a little messier than others!

When we got to our camp sight Ty was exploring around and found a new friend!

I'm not sure if this was a newt or a salamander! Anyway the kids loved playing with it!

Can you tell he is proud of himself for climbing up on such a big rock?!

Mara trying to help hold him up, doesn't look like he needs much help!

What a sassy little sweetie!

We are all decked out in our warm gear! It was pretty darn chilly while we were up there!

We went for a walk around the lake and then headed over to the gas station for some hot chocolate!

McCall was beautiful and I enjoyed my visit, but it wasn't exactly what I had pictures! It was a lot more forest and rugged than I had pictured!

We didn't let the rain or cold weather stop us from having a great time!

We went on a really cool hike around the forest which was perfect for little legs. It had stopped raining and was nice and cool, perfect for hiking.

Just give kids rocks and they can play all day!

What a happy little camper!

Next was the canoe ride up the Payette River.
This was Nate's favorite part of the entire trip, maybe even his summer! He loved paddling up the river with his kids! We even saw a couple moose!

Ty and I were in a boat together, he did a great job guiding our canoe around the river!

It wasn't so cold anymore, and the scenery was just fantastic! We could have done this all day!

In the evenings we enjoyed walking around the campground and Ponderosa State Park.

Just enjoying the sunset over the lake!
Ty doesn't look to happy to share his rock with Mara!
Carder loves camping as much as there kids!
I love the time we have to go on road trips and vacations together! It sure makes life more fun and enjoyable when we can look back at all the fun memories we've had together!

The End of Boise!

With just a couple days left to explore Boise we packed it in and saw all we could see!! We did a fun few things in the night with Nate so he could enjoy part of the vacation!

We went to the Rose Garden at the Julia Davis Park. The roses were all in bloom and so beautiful!

Nothing is more beautiful than this sweet Mara!

Carder loved stopping and smelling the flowers!

Caleb found something in the tree! Wonder what it was?

Great tree for climbing!

Mara was all about posing for the camera!

Carder felt too big to be pushed in his stroller! He was only interested in pushing!
Caleb found a huge stick that he thought was just right for a walking stick.

Who is that cute boy crossing the bridge?!
After a walk around the park we stopped at the park to play!
What kind of face is that?! Besides a darling caluba face!

It was fun having our daddy play at the park with us!

The next night we went to the Boise Botanical Garden for and listened to the concert in the park!
The kids were more interested in watching the ducks in the pond than the concert!
We could see that they would not be happy sitting and listening to the concert so we walked around the gardens and listened to the music from afar! There was a really cool pond with tons of fish.
Super Caleb looking out over the garden!

Darling Mara enjoying the beautiful flowers!

Carder and his rocks! He loves finding rocks!
Caleb not too excited to get his picture taken or look at the picture!
Ty climbing a tree (although it might not be the right time or place for it!!)

I did not tell her what to do for these! She kept saying 'look at me mom and take my picture!' How can I refuse?!

Cute family! Love all these guys!

We were all too hungry after the walk around the garden so we stopped at Noodles and Company and chowed down on delicious bowls of noodles!

One of my very favorite parts of our Boise trip was going to the Meridian Park and meeting my cousin and her two kids (who are both teenagers) and having a picnic and letting the kids play in the splash park! My cousin is probably ten years older than me and I've always looked up to her! She is so amazing! When I met Nate I knew he was the one for me because he reminded me of Jani's husband and I had always said I wanted to find someone like him! They are the neatest couple! And their kids are so awesome! I hope my kids turn out like them! It was so fun to visit and laugh and talk! I hope for another trip to Boise so we can see each other again!

The park was an adventure park with so many things to do--even look like a pirate!

Carder loved playing on the horse!
It was so hot at the park! The splash pad felt great!

Ty climbing the hot rock at the park! It was the perfect rock for rock climbing!
