Splish-Splash!

Sometimes we swim in swimming suits.....sometimes we don't!

Ty and Mara are taking swim lessons. Yesterday while they were swimming Caleb swam too! He LOVED it! He is a little duck! He has no fear of water--like his brother Ty. He loved splashing and kicking his legs and swimming on his tummy. He knows how to blow bubbles under water and doesn't mind if water gets in his eyes!
This morning Mara was in the bathtub. Caleb wanted to get in too! I didn't have time to take off his jammies when I hear a plunk SPLASH! Caleb had fallen head first in the tub--and wasn't quite sure what to think of the experience! At first he cried, but then he laughed! We all thought it was a little silly to take a bath in your jammies!

Wheeler Farm

Saturday we went with the family to Wheeler Farm. I've been a few times as a kid but have never taken my kids. We had a great time. The kids loved seeing all the farm animals.
Two little boys having a sword fight!

Who loves Aunt Chelsie? WE do!!

Caleb wanted to play in the ditch like Ty!

Here comes our little buddy!

We all had a great time feeding the ducks!

Ty and Mara loved exploring such a fun place!

Ty and Trish chasing the geese!

Hold on to Daddy's ears!

P-U!! Huh Boys?!

Watching the cow get milked. Mooo!

Caleb loved playing in the dirt and finding rocks! Yup, he's all boy!

Nate and Colin loved talking basketball! And couldn't wait to get home to watch more games!

As a mom there is nothing better in life than watching your kids have a fun day! I had just as good a time as they did!

The grand-porkers with the porkers!

Going for a ride! (Not really!)

A couple turkeys!!

Hello Miss Mara in the chicken coop!

Ty is quite the leader--everything he did cousin Garrett wanted to do! He better set a good example for the others to follow! Everyone looks up to Ty!

What a wonderful weekend with family! The kids loved spending time with their g-parents, aunts, uncles, and cousin Garrett! We can't wait to come up for another visit!

Fun times with family!

This weekend we were in need of a break from sickness, Price, and life! So we headed up north to spend time with the Lewis family. We had a lot of fun. Nate loved watching basketball, I had a good time shopping (I hate shopping, but I found 2 pairs of pants for $10! Not bad!) Ty loved playing with legos, Mara had a good time playing with the Easter eggs, and Caleb learned how to say 'dog'.

Friday night we hung out with Aunt Chelsie, Aunt Danielle and Grandma and Grandpa Lewis. Aunt Chelsie gave the kiddos some treats: a candy necklace and gummies. Mara got some gummy rabbits and Ty got a HUGE gummy snake!

I don't know if Ty was scared of it or just wanted to play with it, but he would not eat the snake!

Nate showed him how it's done!

Then Nate tried pinning Ty down and forcing him to eat it! Eventually Ty did eat it, bites at a time! It was one BIG gummy!

Mara was thrilled with her gummy rabbits!

She even shared with everyone! She loves to share.

Then we had fun playing with legos and Uncle Johnny's old hats!
What a funny kid! He makes me laugh!

What a silly little sweetie! She was all about the dress-ups!

I love this sister--we have good times together!

Caleb was not a fan of putting hats on his head. And he wasn't very good at playing with legos! We called him The Destroyer because he just wanted to destroy everything we built.

Ty loves playing with Grandma's legos! He build a castle.

What a little grinner!

What's up dog?!

Ooooh! What a face on Mara--she has a stare to kill!

That is one mean homey!

We told the kids to put on their mad faces!

This is Mara's surprised face!

Spring Fever

Spring has sprung,
the grass has risen,
my kids feel like they are out of prison!

We are so ready for spring here!
We keep thinking spring is on the way and then we get snow dumped on us!
But this week sure has felt more like spring.
(Don't be misled by the children wearing their coats! Jackets maybe, but they were too warm with their coats on! Today almost hit 60!)
We had a fun afternoon playing in the back yard: blowing bubbles, riding around in the sled, kicking the soccer ball....
It doesn't take much to entertain kids outside--they just love being free and enjoying the fresh air!
Hold on tight Caleb--Mara's taking you for a ride!

A sled can be just as much fun in the spring as the winter!

Ty's smile says it all! We are happy to see the sunshine and have spring here!

What are you day dreaming about Caleb-boy?!

Caleb's pretty entertained with only a shovel!

Speaking of fever.... the past three days Caleb has had a fever. Diagnosis: ear infection. Another bottle of antibiotics please! Not to mention my baby started asthma symptoms of wheezing and coughing. NOOOO, not another asthmatic. It's not a joke any more. I'm sick of all this sickness!!!! Not to mention Nate and I have come down with crudy colds. AHhhhhh!!

Okay I'm done complaining and venting! Today I read a really great conference talk in the November issue by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf. He said, "It is often the trial of adversity that we learn those most critical lessons that form our character and shape our destiny."
