Happy Halloween!!

We had a SUPER Halloween!! This year we went with the Super Mario Brothers theme! I was thinking of just having random costumes this year without a theme but I just couldn't do it! I went to Saver's and DI and found what I needed for some of the costumes!! Others I sewed. It was surprising how much of the material I had on hand...and I just happened to have a kid's vest pattern from 1970 that was perfect for "Toad's vest!" It's kind of fun going from store to store trying to find the needed items to make the costumes, it's like a scavenger hunt!

Here is the sneak peak before Halloween...I had just finished the costumes! The kids were thrilled! Ty--Luigi, Mara--Princess Peach, Caleb--Mario, and Carder--Toad!

This picture is actually from the Wii! The kids love playing Mario  Bros!

Cute little Mario and Toad ready to go to the school!

I was able to go over to Mara's class and help with the Halloween Party!

While we were at Mara's party Carder came in contact with peanuts! I was passing out snacks and they had granola bars that may have had peanuts. He didn't eat any, but he touched some, and ate a few other items that had been around it. Anyway, the scariest thing ever on Halloween! Carder's eye swelled up, his face turned red! I had to pick up Nate from the airport but I wasn't sure if I should go to the hospital instead! I had given Carder benadryl, I grabbed the epi-pens and raced to the airport. We watched him and I said may prayers along the way and luckily Carder was ok.

Our cute little crew!! They are ready to go trick-or-treating!

Ty looks grumpy, and mad but he said he couldn't smile with his mustache on!

Two brothers! They pretended the pumpkins were fire-power!

Our little princess peach, she makes the best princess!

Caleb was so excited to be Mario! He sure makes a cute Mario!

Oh he must melts my little heart! I think I love his hat the most! I made it out of scraps of fabric! I think it turned out great!

We had a great time trick-or-treating! We went to almost every house in the neighborhood!!

Pumpkin Carving!!

Here we are almost to Thanksgiving and I still haven't posted any Halloween pictures! Yikes! Nate had a business trip in Portland the week of Halloween. Which left me to carve three pumpkins by myself!! Actually I must say the kids did a great job on their pumpkins! I was very impressed with their ability!

Mara felt confident carving her own pumpkin by herself.

Caleb was very picky on how his pumpkin looked! He was very careful on drawing the face.

Caleb's finished product....

I helped Caleb with the carving, but he was pretty excited with how it turned out!

Little Miss Mara did a great job on her pumpkin by herself!

Ty made a cyclops!

We didn't want to carve this cute little pumpkin's pumpkin!

I just love these cute little kiddos! This was Mara's pumpkin she picked out from the pumpkin patch on her field trip!

Feel the brotherly love!!

Fun in fall leaves!

We had the most beautiful fall weather! We played outside and had fun raking leaves! It was sunny and warm....now that nice warm weather is past and it is already freezing cold! I'm sure the snow is on its way any day!

Carder had the most fun in the leaves! Probably because he didn't have to do any work! We all raked big piles of leaves and he had fun jumping and playing in them!

Then he rolled around in the leaves and thought it was too much fun!

What cute blond haired boy!

Ty thought it would be fun to have raining leaves on Carder! Carder thought it was pretty fun too!

Carder trying to catch the leaves!

Love this little boy! He is so much fun!

What a cute kid!

Our little Carder is so much fun! He is Mr. Personality and is such a cute kiddo! He makes us laugh and is constantly doing funny things! We just love this little guy!

One day I was sitting at the computer when Carder came in and said "Look at me mom! Take a picture!" He had put Caleb's shorts on his head by himself! What a goof!

Carder with Ty's bear! He was especially attached to this bear one day and carried it around everywhere!

Those are some big shoes to fill! Carder put on Nate's shoes but they were so heavy he couldn't walk!

What a crazy kid! He loves putting hats on his head!

We went to Saver's looking for Halloween costumes. We found this elephant hat and Carder loved it! He wore it all over the store! In the end I put it back on the shelf because elephants just didn't go with this years theme! But as soon as we got out to the car he said "Where is my elephant hat?" Oh the tears! I should have just bought the hat for $2!!

What a cutie! We love our Carder boy! He sure is a happy kid who makes us all happy!
