A day off!!

We had a day off of school and I wondered how to spend the day with my kids. But before I could even make plans for the day I looked over and realized Nate forgot his computer for work. So, we decided we should probably go to daddy's work and give him his computer and then figure out our day! It actually turned out to be a wonderful day!! We met Nate at his work, then walked over to the bread store with him and each got a slice of bread. Then we walked daddy back to work and we headed to the library! The kids loved seeing the 'big city library'!! Compared to our tiny county library it is big! Next to the library was a park! It was a perfect spring day to play at the park!

Carder was in heaven swinging and playing at the park!

We played tag--the kids favorite game to play at the park!

Ty acting like a crazy-silly monkey!

Mara thought it was summer! She was ready to break out all her summer clothes!!

We didn't even need jackets at the park it was so warm!

Carder was sure happy to have his siblings play with him all day!

This kid just wanted to pose all day for the camera!

These pictures are my favorite! They are all getting so big! I just love them so much!

Kind of wacky but I still love them all!

After playing at the park all afternoon we went to lunch and then went rock climbing!

The kids have been asking when we can go rock climbing ever since we moved up here!

Ty thought it was swinging instead of climbing!

This kid is ready to climb to the top!

Mara climbed this boulder free-style!

Nate pretty much made her climb to the top...

...almost there!

I'm so impressed with the determination and strength of these kids!

Ty made it to the top of almost all of the courses.

Here he did it again!

Mara isn't as 'hard-chore' as the boys but she did great! Proud of this little sweetie!

Those are some bright pink cheeks!

They were pretty exhausted at the end!

Carder really wanted to try climbing too! This is about as high as he got!

Even daddy climbed to the top of this boulder!

We had such a fun day! Glad it turned out to be memorable! It was especially fun to have our daddy part of it!

One day of snow!

We have hardly had any snow this winter. It's been really nice to have so much sunshine! I've enjoyed the mild winter but at the same time I know how important it is for our dry land to have the rain and snow we need! We were asked in church to fast for snow to help with the dry conditions. As a family we fasted and prayed that we would receive snow and rain ('moisture' as we like to call it)! No sooner did we leave the church building did it start to snow! It snowed all Sunday and into Monday. It felt like a miracle! Such a quick answer to our prayers! It was our one day of snow this year!
We woke up Monday morning to find our little valley covered in snow! Nate worked from home and we had a great snow day!

Caleb and Carder were so excited to go outside and play in the snow!

We built a very small snowman and it was fun getting a chance to play in the snow, even if it was for just one day!

Ty loves playing in the snow! He doesn't seem to mind the cold either! He had a wonderful time building a very tall snowman!

School Pictures....well...almost!!

School pictures were scheduled for last week. We spent the morning curling Mara's hair and making her look oh so pretty!! She even missed the bus and had to be driven to school! It just happened to be on the snowiest day of the year! Shortly after arriving at school the power went out and the school pictures could not be taken! A little while later I get a call from school, Miss Mara is sick and needs to come home!! Too bad, she sure looked beautiful! I guess we'll go for round two next week!!

Just Because....

I went in Caleb's room the other night to tuck him in and found him in his bed with his cowboy hat on and not one but four stuffed animals by his side!! I said to him "Caleb! How come you have your cowboy hat on and all your stuffed animals!?!" He said "Just because mom I want to!!"

And that was okay by me because sometimes we just all need to do what we want to do!! Love this little Caluba buddy!!

Basketball Season!

Basketball season has come to an end! It was fun while it lasted and Ty & Mara both had a great season! Mara's team went undefeated and won all their games! Both Ty and Mara played hard and scored a few points in the process!

#1 team!! Way to go girls!

The other season that has come to an end is our Weber State games! We had a great time going to the Weber State basketball games! Whether it was a one-on-one date with a kid or taking two or three kids we had a great time at the basketball games! Go Wildcats!!
