Our first camping trip of the season: what an adventure! We headed south a couple hours to Cape Perpetua. What a beautiful and scenic area! The view from the top of the cape is breath-taking. We loved the camp spot we chose, it came highly recommended by the camp hosts! It was picture perfect with a little stream trickling through and rododendron bushes in bloom!
This was Caleb's first camping experience and let's just say he didn't love camping like his brother and sister do! Ty and Mara just love camping, they had a blast! I think being off routine, out of his comfort zone and into the wide open wilderness was a little more than our baby boy was used to! Caleb is usually the go with the flow, easy as pie kind of guy, but he had his struggles at times! This was also his first time sleeping with mom and dad--and let's just say he had no problem sleeping through the night in the tent! He loved that part!We went on a few great hikes:

Caleb's favorite things were the beach, hiking in the pack, and sleeping!
One of our favorite places to explore was down on the beach in the caverns and canyons. It would have been a fun place to play hide-and-seek!

What fun! It reminds me when we went camping by the beach as kids! Your kids are so lucky to have these experiences and that you and Nate enjoy them because not a lot of kids get these opportunities. Way to go in being the best parents! :)
