Memorial Day was spent decorating graves and visiting with relatives, although I did miss doing that this year! Instead we headed down near Goblin Valley and went on a little hike. It was sure hot, but not as hot as it would get this summer! It was a fun hike down a wash, through a slot canyon, and in the red rocks!

We stopped at every shading place we could find and took a break!
The kids have no fear when it comes to climbing mountains! They love rock climbing!
We start them out young climbing rocks, as soon as they can crawl! Carder tried putting every little rock and pebble in his mouth so his time on the ground was limited!

Carder was my total hiking buddy! He did great and enjoyed the ride!
This was part of the slot canyon, it wasn't really big but it was pretty cool. There is another hike we want to do down here that is all slot canyon.
I am very impressed with this kid! He can keep up with his big brother!

A fun day hiking together as a family! We enjoyed a tasty picnic lunch in a shady spot along the way and then headed back home. It was a great way to spend the day!
