A Day of Celebration!!!

Happy Birthday Ty!! AND Happy 4th of July!! What a day to celebrate! Wow! How can my oldest be eight years old?! How time flies! Ty is a great kid and I'm so glad he is my son! He is an awesome big brother and a great example to all who know him!

We started our big day with the Tooele City Parade! There's just something I love about watching a parade and feeling that patriotic feeling when you see the flag marching down the street!

I'm pretty sure the kids just love parades for the candy! And man oh man did they get a lot of candy!

 

Here we are on Main Street of Tooele--just down the street from Mimi & Papa's--and let's just say this was a great 'small town parade'!!

Ty finished off his birthday cake and blew out candles so he could open more birthday presents!

Ninja Lego!! Yay! Ty loves legos! He was so excited about his new Ninja lego set!

On our way to Salt Lake we stopped by the airport and picked up Blake & Maren and we met Scott, Lorisa & Brooklyn there too! It was fun to be all together as a family again! Then we headed to Salt Lake to spend the day playing in City Creek and other sights around town! 

We had a fun time exploring City Creek with the family, the California uncles and aunts hadn't seen it yet! 

The kids were so excited to see their cousin Brook! Last time was at Christmas and she had grown up so much! 

 

A very Happy Birthday Boy! Could a kid ask for more than a parade, presents, family, City Creek, and now  playing at the Dinosaur Playground!!! The day just keeps getting better and better for Ty!

The kids sure had a fun time playing with their cousin Brook at the Dinosaur playground! It was a nice cool indoor playground for the kids at City Creek. 

After we had a snack at the Food Court, did some shopping, played in the fountains we were ready for our next adventure: Trax! My kids have never ridden the Trax in Salt Lake and we thought it would be fun for us to be all together and go for a ride. We hopped on board and road the train up to the U of U where Nate & Papa picked us up and took us to dinner.

I love this picture of Uncle Blake with his nieces and nephews! They absolutely LOVE their Uncle Blake....or do they just love him for his cool technology devices?! We had a little wait at the Olive Garden for dinner, but Uncle Blake kept the kids busy with games on his ipod and ipad!!

 

After dinner we watched the fireworks at Sugar House Park. 

The firework show was great! Happy Birthday America! Happy Birthday Ty! From early morning to late at night we celebrated a fabulous day!
