What Matters Most

I came across this video and wanted to share this important message. I am guilty of trying to do too many things but not focusing on what really matters most!

Yesterday after church I was busy getting dinner on the table and trying to help Mara with her family home evening lesson and Ty kept saying "I just want someone to snuggle with!" "Won't anybody snuggle with me?" At first I ignored him, but then I remembered this thought and I stopped what I was doing and went over and snuggled my 6 year old boy! It felt good. We ate soggy cauliflower that night at dinner, but it didn't seem to matter---he was happy that he had gotten the loves he needed!

Another example: After dinner I was washing the dishes--by hand, because our dishwasher is not working! We had piles of Sunday dishes and Nate was reading stories with Ty & Mara but Caleb wanted to read his own stories...with his mama! I kept hearing 'mama, mama, mama,' at first I tried to ignore his sweet little desperate calls to come read with him, but my heart gave in and I sat down and read his 4 favorite books that I have read countless times! It was darling to see his smile on his face when I sat down and we opened up the books and started to read.

Life is busy--but take time for those things that matter most!

This is one of the best videos. Such a important message.

You are one who matters most. I will miss you this week. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to be with you the past two weeks. They were difficult because of your health, but joyful because of your goodness, kindness, positive attitude and charity toward everyone.

I am grateful this trial has not added to your testimony rather than detracted.

I love you!
