The Boondocks!!

Last year for Christmas we received an awesome present from Auntie Chelsie: A family pass to The Boondocks!! We used our passes a few weekends ago and had the funnest day! There was so much to see and do and we did it all! There was something for everyone and we had a blast being together with family. Grandma & Grandpa Lewis and Chelsie went with us for part of the day. The Boondocks is a fun family center with everything from race cars, laser tag, batting cage, miniature golf, bumper boats, arcade, play place, 4D stimulation ride, and much much more!!!

We loved the bumper boats! It was sure fun to drive around on the pond and spray each other with water! Especially when it got hot outside it felt good to cool off!

Caleb was my little partner driving the boat, he loved pushing the button to spray everyone! I even let him drive once or twice and he thought that was so cool!

Even Little Miss Mara was able to drive a bumper boat all by herself! But she enjoyed going a few times with Auntie Chelsie while she got the hang of driving the boat!

We zoomed around the track on the race cars! One time around for this prego mama was enough! I didn't realize until after I went on it the car that pregnant women were not suppose to participate in this ride! Oops! It was fun though!

Mara and daddy drove together and tried to out-race Ty and me!

Ty and I drove together leaving Caleb on the sideline to watch with Grandma & Chel! He was NOT happy about that! He was so mad he cried and cried! I felt so bad every time I passed him and saw his little face full of tears and heard him screaming!

We decided we just couldn't do that to Caleb--he had to be able to ride also! So he went with Nate and boy was he happy and excited! He loved racing in the cars!

But what Caleb really loved was shooting the basketball in the inside arcade!! He LOVES basketball and could have played this all day long! We held him up so he could shoot it and he made almost every basket!

Caleb also liked playing in the indoor play place which had slides and a rope swing.

More on the racetrack! Now it's time for Ty & Mara to drive their own car around the track!!

Ty thought this was the coolest thing to be able to drive a car by himself!

Watch where you are going Ty! He did a pretty good job driving!

Can she really be big enough to drive?! I'm sure glad I have a few years before she can do this legally!

Next it was time to try out our putting skills on the miniature golf  course!

Let's just say golfing with 3 kids in the heat wasn't our idea of fun! They had more fun playing in the water fountain, hitting their ball into the water, and running around the green instead of playing golf!

I must say however...I do remember when Ty was this age, and he was wearing this same outfit and we took him to a miniature golf course in Pennsylvania! Nate and I barely made it through with just one kid! Caleb was the same way as Ty at that age! It brought back memories watching us chase Caleb around!

By the afternoon we were all winding down but we still wanted to stay and play. We decided to go on one more race track ride before we left. Nate and Caleb went in one car and Ty and Mara raced in the smaller cars on the other track. You can see Caleb sitting next to Nate in the picture above.....

Where did Caleb go?! He is still sitting next to Nate...but he fell fast asleep!! This kid was so tired a few laps around the track and he was out! The funny thing was he slept for a good hour or so longer in our arms!

Look at that big kid driver! These cars were just his size! He loved racing around the track!

I was a little surprised that Mara would go in the car by herself! I thought maybe she would be timid! But nope! She was all about driving herself! The faster the better!

And they are off! I think Ty lapped Mara a few times but she didn't seem to mind!

It sure was cute watching the kids race in their cars! It was an awesome day full of fun at the Boondocks! Thanks again Chelsie for the best Christmas present ever! We had a wonderful family adventure!

Splash Park!!

After spending a few days with Mimi we headed to Salt Lake to spend the weekend with the Lewis Fam! We found a really fun park in Salt Lake that had an awesome playground, one we have never seen before as well as a very fun splash park!

Ty loved climbing like a monkey!

He looks like Spiderman in the web.

Caleb is trying to balance on the tight-rope! The park had a 'kiddie-area' but Caleb was too big for that, he wanted to be with the big kids!

Caleb had no problem going down the big boy slides and climbing all the big boy toys!

The slides were a little hot...that's when we decided it was time to play in the water!

Mara is trying really hard to help Lincoln have fun in the splash park!! He didn't want to do much with the water! Which I found ironic because he is always saying "Water! Water!"

But really Lincoln just wanted to be with his Auntie Chelsie instead of playing in the water!

We have never been to a splash park like this before! It is super fun!

Mara had a blast running through the water, it's much better than the sprinklers at home!

I don't know why Caleb has such a sad face on! I think it's because he got cold! Caleb hates being wet & cold!!

I finally had to help Lincoln enjoy the splash park! I held him while he touched the water with his hands and feet!

It was a super fun day with our Auntie! We also went to lunch and then to a 3D movie: The Lorax! This is what the summer is all about: Having F.U.N.!!!!

Deseret Peak Pool

We spent a week in Tooele with Mimi who was recovering from knee surgery. We had a lot of fun being at Grandma Mimi's house and even found a hot day to cool down in the pool!

Caleb still wasn't quite back to his usual happy self after his tonsil surgery! In fact, he did't have much fun swimming! He does not like to be cold and the water was on the chilly side!

Look at this bathing beauty! Mara loved laying out on her beach towel and staying warm in the sunshine!!

This kid is my all-time swimmer! He doesn't care if the water is cold or warm! He would swim for hours!

Ty is really getting to be a good little swimmer--even if he does make funny faces in the water! We hope to get him on the swim team in a few weeks!

Ty loves jumping off the side of the pool and has even figured out how to do a flip off the side!

The Deseret Peak is a really fun pool! They have a huge slide but only Ty was big enough to go on it!

Caleb was just too tired for swimming! He wanted to be wrapped up in his warm towels and go to sleep! He's not faking it! He's really asleep! He took a good 2-3 hour nap at the pool while the other kids swam!

Ty and Mara did not want to go home yet....even if their little brother was super-sleepy! They had a marvelous time in the pool!

They loved jumping off the side together. I don't know why Ty decided to wear the life jacket! Silly boy! He could reach and he is a good swimmer!!

A day downtown!

Between doctor's appointments and visiting family we have had many trips up to Salt Lake! One day we decided to spend the day downtown playing and exploring new sights! It's always fun going to the city and playing downtown!

I wanted to take Ty to Temple Square and get a few pictures of him for his baptism. Ty wasn't too sure about his mom's idea but he did cooperate and the pictures turned out great!

I just love this kid! I'm so grateful he is such a good example and good boy! I'm lucky to be his mom!

It was a beautiful, perfect day for pictures!  Me and my sweet children by the temple.

We were lucky to have Auntie Chelsie meet us at temple square for the afternoon!

One of my favorite Conference talks is about touching the temple and letting the temple touch your life! I know someday Ty will be able to go to the temple and the temple with touch his life!

I am so proud of Ty! I am happy for his decision to be baptized.

Ty is a great leader! He is someone I look up to and he is a great example to his brother, sister, and friends!

This picture makes me think of Ty being a missionary! I can't believe how fast life goes by! I know before long he will receive the presthood, be a boy scout, and go on a mission! Yikes! I just want him to stay my little boy for a lot longer!

The temple grounds were beautiful! Flowers everywhere and in full blossom!

After temple square we took a walk around City Creek! We loved the new outdoor/indoor mall especially all the fountains! It is amazing! This picture cracks me up: Ty and Mara giving hugs and taking a sweet picture! Caleb: did not want to cooperate! He did NOT want to be hugged nor did he want anything to do with the picture!!

Ty and Mara really liked this statue! It has several animals on it.

What makes City Creek so great is the stream that runs through the mall. The kids especially loved the fish in the stream!

Then it was off to Liberty Park! Although it was hot at the park the kids got cooled off in the splash pad!

We love Liberty Park! It's always fun to play here! They have such fun things to do!

Caleb enjoyed making music!

Caleb also loved swinging! Especially after getting wet at the splash park then swinging was a great way to keep cool on a hot day at the park!

Mara had a fun time playing at the park, especially meeting new friends and playing with other kids! She is my social butterfly!

It was a very fun day in Salt Lake City! There is always so much to see and do! Never a dull or boring moment here! We love fun summer days like today!
