On January 20 2009 our lives would change forever!
A sweet bundle of joy would be added to our family!
What a little blessing from heaven entered our home!
Caleb Daniel Lewis was born and oh how we love this beautiful, precious gift from God!!

A year later...

To celebrate our big boy's 1st birthday Mara, Caleb and I went out to lunch to Wendy's! This was Caleb's first time eating french fries! Yum! Mara loved feeding Caleb the frosty! That was very tasty as well! I know--not the most nutricious lunch for kids but hey it was his birthday!

I made a three layered, melt-in-your mouth, very chocolate, from scratch birthday cake! WOW! Just looking at the pictures makes my mouth water and want more! It was quite delicious!

Even the birthday boy enjoyed his cake--enjoyed playing in it more like it! We invited some of our friends over for cake and ice-cream. Ty and Mara loved having friends come play.

Kangaroo Zoo!

The day after the BIG party (which happened to be Nate's Birthday!!) we went with Grandma & Grandpa Lewis, Aunt Chelsie, Colin, Trish, & Garrett to The Kangaroo Zoo!! What a great way to celebrate! What an exciting place to play! Everything and more the kids could ever want to do in one big building! They even had miniature golf with black-lights we all had a fun time with a round of golf. Happy Birthday Nate! You are a great dad and a wonderful husband! Thanks for a fun day on your birthday!

Birthday Party!

Happy Birthday Caleb!!

One, One, One is so much Fun, Fun, Fun!!!
One year has flown by and now my baby boy is a little walkin talkin little toddler! It happened so fast! I can hardly believe it! He is still our 'lots of fun' little guy with a smile on his face and a wave hi and bye! Caleb is one happy boy!

Caleb had a great check-up at his 12 month appointment:
Weight: 22 lbs 2 oz (41%tile)
Height: 30 in (83%tile)
Head: 18 (31%tile)
A few things about Caleb:
  • signs 'milk'
  • opens the toilet seat--not my favorite trick and luckily hasn't thrown anything in the toilet-yet!
  • he's a good little walker
  • says mama & dadda & bob--who ever that is!
  • feeds himself--that is with his hands!
  • his favorite food is rice and his favorite veggies are cauliflower and broccoli
To celebrate the BIG Boy's Birthday we went to Grandma and Grandpa Lewis's for a PARTY!

There are two other special birthdays: Nate's birthday is two days before Caleb's and cousin Garrett's is two days before Nate's! So we really did have a cause for celebration!
The 3 birthday boys!

Aunt Trish made Caleb his very own basketball birthday cake! Daddy is enticing him and showing him how to chow down!

He's thinking about it! It sure looks good!

The black icing--turned out to be blue! He's starting to get the hang of it!

Caleb thinks this is pretty darn fun!

Love the blue smile--it says it all!

Taking a break from the cake to play with the ball!
Would you like some?

Oh boy Caleb is one blue smurfy mess! When he was all done eating (or making a mess) Nate and I picked him up arms and legs carfully carried him into the bathtub where we washed him off and cleaned him up. Yes the bath water turned blue and yes he had to have two baths! But it was so fun to watch Caleb dimolish his cake and I wonder if he did actually eat any!

That was the sweetest, stickiest, bluest kiss I've ever had!

Look at these cute boys eating their cake and ice-cream! Less mess! Using a spoon! Maybe by next year at this time Caleb will have learned from his brother and cousin a few manners and be a little more polite!!

Dino Land!

There are many things we love about Price--but Ty's favorite thing is all the DINOSAURS! We live in the land of dinos! We love the dino park as you saw from the previous post us playing at Dino Mine Discover Park. The mascot for the high school just happens to be the Dinos--and we even have a Prehistoric Dinosaur Museum! Oh boy! We had a fun time visiting the museum and with our annual family pass I'm sure we will be visiting many, many more times!!

Ty performing a puppet show with the T-rex!

What is that dinosaur head doing Mara?!

Mara enjoyed diggin at the table for bones and artifacts!

Ty thought the dig pit was pretty dang awesome!

Even Caleb got in on the action in the dig pit! He loved playing in the sand--not as soft and fine though as the sand on the beach!

One of Ty's favorite things was the TYranasourus Rex eating the CaMARAsaurous! It's true--there is a dinosaur called the camarasaourus!!

I'm pretty sure the sign read: NO CLIMBING! But telling that to a one year old!

Check out those bones huh kids?!

We had a fun time at the dinosaur museum and if you come visit us in Price you can count on a trip to the museum to check it out for yourself!
