Phoenix South Mountain Park

One evening we headed out to explore the mountains of Arizona!
They really weren't mountains like we think of in Utah, more like tall hills, but still it was neat to see especially covered with thousands of cactus and at sunset when the sun is just going over the mountains in the horizon.
Nate overlooking the great city of Phoenix.

Mara will ever be remembered this trip with her fingers in her mouth on pictures.

We went for a little evening hike down the mountain to explore some of the area.

I just love these pictures of the sunset.
Going... going... and gone!

This really is a silly picture, it almost looks fake.
And what is up with those faces?
I guess it was late and we were all tired!

Just read through all your AZ entries! Looks like you had a great time! If you had the time...you could head east then north out of Phoenix for about 4 hours and head up to the White Mountains. We lived in Eagar for 6 years before moving here. We loved it there...being in the high desert country. No cactuses either. :)

You all do look tired and cold. This was a wonderful vacation and a blessing. I know you feel cramped and trapped in your apartment.
Your photos are spectacular. I do love sunsets.
Thanks for sharing.
