Dinosaur Tracks

As we were driving down the road we passed a sign that said "Dinosaur Tracks Turn Right". We debated whether or not to go see these so called dinosaur tracks, and I actually drove right passed because it was windy and we had seen many things that day, and I was ready to get to the hotel and have dinner. But the kids really wanted to see it and we are only here once so we turned around and went to see the dino tracks.
We pulled up to a few shacks on the side of the road and went on a 'tour' of these amazing dinosaur tracks. Let me just say...the entire time I thought it was a hoax! I wasn't sure if our tour guide had memorized a script or made it up as she went! But the kids sure loved it and it was probably one of the highlights of their trip! I guess the tracks really are dinosaur tracks, but after the tour our guide tried selling round rocks and stones that she claimed were dinosaur eggs and dinosaur poop! How does she know? I'm pretty sure she just wanted to earn a couple extra bucks --which she didn't get from us no sir!

After the so called Dinosaur Track adventure we headed to Cameron Arizona to spend the night. We ate dinner and spent the night at the Cameron Trading Post Lodge and restaurant. Mara learned this photo pose from her brother--not very attractive! Got to do something about those fingers in the mouth.

You may be wondering how the kids did on such a long drive: AWESOME! Our kids are troopers when it comes to road trips! Ya we had a few squabbles and teasing--but who doesn't?! They didn't complain with the long drive and were really happy to be on vacation! Caleb probably would have preferred to be driving the car, but give him a few snacks along the way and he was one happy baby!
