After strolling along the Stearns Wharf it was time to hit the beach one last time. There were so many fun activities to take part in! The kids went with Nate part of the time to look for shells and sea creatures (they found a couple cool ones!) Mimi & Papa brought their kites and were able to fly them really, really high! We all enjoyed playing in the sand and feeling the sand in our toes! It was a wonderful day as a family!

Caleb loved the sand....

...but he loved even more sitting in the beach chair! It kept collapsing on him and he thought it was so funny!

Ty & Kate wondering what Uncle Scott is making?

Well--here's the finished product! Ta--da!! What is it Scott?!!

Papa and Mara flying the kite--I think if Mara would have held on she would have got blown away!

While everyone was off doing their 'own thing' I noticed Blake digging a little ditch and went over to see what he was doing. Well it wasn't actually a 'little ditch'!! He was destroying nature by making a canal from the river to the ocean! Awesome! I grabbed a shovel and started to help him.

Caleb wanted to help too!

Except this was exactly helping!

And no matter how many times (or how hard I tried) taking him out of the canal...

...he kept getting right back in!

Before long Kate, Mara, and Ty came over with their shovels to help Uncle Blake.

And before we knew it, the entire family was working on this project together!

Ty thought this was one of the coolest family projects ever! (Too bad he never saw what we accomplished and made at Lake Powell!!)

It went a lot faster when everyone was working together and helping out!

We are almost there...

...keep going! So close Ty!

And we did it!! We were hoping once we got it connected it would start a new river to the ocean and the force would continue to flow, but the walls on the canal began to fall in! Oh well! It was fun doing something 'destructive' as a family!
