Disneyland

**truly the happiest place on earth!**

Disneyland sure was magical and special for our family! Seeing their faces light up with all the exciting sights and sounds was one of the best things for me. The kids saw many of the characters: Mickey, Donald, Pluto, Goofy, Buzz Lightyear....but when I asked them if they wanted to go get their pictures taken with them or say hello it was "NO WAY!"

The children were absolutely perfect all day even through the late night--how could they not be? We were in the happiest place on earth and they truly were so happy all day.

Mara was thrilled to see the Princess's castle! She was not too happy however to see the wicked queen from Snow White! Mara was scared the rest of the night after taking one peak of her coming out of the window of Snow Whites Scary Adventures!

Our first ride was the carousel. We decided to start the kids off nice and easy before we jumped on the fast and exciting rides.
Ty & Uncle Scott--holding on tight for a fun ride.

Ty loves the carousel. It's one of his favorite rides where ever we go!

So does Mara! They must get it from their Grandma Mimi--she too loves riding around on the horses!

Caleb on the other hand wasn't too sure about this ride! He would have done better had I sat on it with him. He didn't cry but wanted more reassurance that this was suppose to be 'fun'!

Nate & Lorisa sat out on this one! They were holding out for a more daring adventure!

Waiting in line for Mr. Toad's wild ride. Pretty sure he's not suppose to be climb through the bars! I thought for sure his head and cheeks were going to get stuck!

Caleb's not too sure about this ride! This was before the ride started!

This was after! I must have forgotten about Mr. Toad's wild ride or I wouldn't have put my baby on it--Caleb HATED it! Ty and Mara thought it was a little scary, but Caleb cried the entire time. Ooops! We better stick with the carousel for him.

Ty was pretty darn happy to be at Disneyland! I don't think his smile ever left his face!

The teacups were about how I remember them as a kid! The girls went slow--the boys spun that wheel as fast as they could to see how fast they could spin! (I chose to ride with the boys!)

The Storybook Land Canal Boats were fun. The kids enjoyed seeing all their favorite movies throughout the journey in little miniature creations.

Ty passed the test: he was big enough and brave enough to do the real rides! Bring on the Matterhorn! This is one of my favorite rides! I am all about the fastest, scariest, spinning, twirling, zooming rides out there!!

Love, love, love Disneyland!!!

What would we do without cell phones? We were constantly texting and calling and finding out who was where and when we would meet up next. We were really able to see most of the family throughout the day. We split up and stayed together came and went. That was the other best thing about being at Disneyland--just having fun as an entire family and seeing everyone.

This is always one of my favorite rides--Star Tours!

Thank you Mimi & Papa for a wonderful day at Disneyland! We couldn't have done it without you and it was sure fun to be with you!

This is my aunt Lois. She lives 15 minutes from Disneyland and met us there. She was great! She took care of my kids and watched them for me while I went on a few rides. Caleb had a couple naps in his stroller and she watched him while he slept. Ty and Mara really wanted to ride the Astro Orbitor--the spaceships that fly around and around. So we all waited in line forever to ride on it and finally it was our turn to get on and I looked over and saw Lois holding Caleb and he was freaking out! Some strange lady had him and he was pretty upset! So I skipped out on this one and went and comforted my little guy!

I don't know how Blake and Maren fit in here the spaceship! Seriously--I tried getting in Papa's but there was no way our two butts were fitting in one!

Mimi & Mara ready to blastoff!

Yup--still a smile on Ty's face--a little forced but he was still pretty happy!

Blake was great to help us get our fast pass tickets for some of the rides. He knew how to work the system and ran up ahead while we took the kids on a few rides to make sure we got on the rides we wanted. Loved Fast Pass!

The other thing we loved was having Papa in his 'go-cart'!! Because his ankle wasn't up for walking all around Disneyland he rented a chair on wheels! He could get to the front of the line and take 6 people on with him! Several times we just walked right on the rides without waiting in line!

Love this uncle Blake and Mimi! Sure fun to spend the day with them!

The Buzzlight Year Ride was a lot of fun! Very interactive!

"Please Daddy! Can't we just pick out a few toys!" We heard a lot of "I wants" But they did come home with at Disneyland T-shirt and were pretty happy with that!

My cousin and her husband and son also live close to Disneyland. They came over after work and rode on a few rides with us. It was fun to see her and meet her new family. This was one of my favorite rides of all: Thunder Mountain. We weren't sure if we would be riding on it since it was closed most of the day! But they opened up at the end of the night and almost the entire family went on it at the same time! Even Mara Lew was brave enough to go on it and she loved it!

Caleb was pretty tired by the end of the night! He was a trooper and never complained.

This was going to be the last ride of the night: Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. It was cute--almost put me to sleep and it completely knocked Caleb out! This was the last time we would see Caleb's eyes open! He slept all the way home. As we got off this ride there was no line for Dumbo and they were just about to close it. Ty and I ran on and soared over Disneyland one more time. It was so magical seeing all the lights and watching the last few rides take their last spins for the evening.

So many things I loved about Disneyland. So many more memories I'd like to share, but I think this post is long enough and grateful for the fun day we had together!
