Museum of Natural History

Santa Barbara here we come! We had a very fun adventure up to Santa Barbara. We started at the Museum of Natural History. We saw everything from animals, to insects, to every kind of bird ever created here at the museum. There was something for everyone!
The sweet girls all ready to check out the museum!

Poor Papa! They've got him now!

Ty looks just like the grizzly bear behind him!

A bunch of silly kids having fun at the museum!

The museum had things that were alive as well as dead.

Sometimes you couldn't tell which exhibits were real and which weren't! You had to look closely to see if things were moving!

Speaking of moving-Caleb was always on the move! He couldn't keep still, he was Mr. Busy at the Museum checking everything out!

Have you ever seen so many butterflies before? Pretty neat to see all the bugs and insects too.

Little Miss Anna and Maren! They were little buddies this trip!

What did you find Mara? Something interesting I'm sure!

Caleb loved seeing everything at the museum. It was a great place for this little guy--he was very entertained.

Everyone is checking out the fish swimming in the tank--awesome!

Papa and Blake--can't tell if they are having a fun time or not! Blake's trying to convince Papa this is fun!

Isn't she so sweet! I love the reflection and her face says it all: this is cool!

I love this picture of Caleb! He's just trying to take it all in! I wonder what's going on in his little mind!

Next stop: Outside--

Kate & Ty were the first to find the dinosaur digging box...

but Caleb was the first one in!

Try telling this happy boy no getting in the sand box! He had a blast!

While the kids (Scott included) helped dig out the dinosaur bones...

...we sat back and relaxed!

Enjoying a few minutes with my honey!

It was nice to rest our legs and take a break!

This is what family vacations are all about!

We could have probably sat there all day and the kids would have been perfectly content just playing in the sand box!

Well maybe not--Mara decided she was all done! I guess it's time to see more!

Here are a couple of scary dinosaurs!

And here is one sweet little girl!

Next stop: Outside gardens

And Ty was one happy boy he loves being outside!

We went for a little walk around the garden there at the museum.

I can't tell if Caleb likes this position!

Cute! We almost have a picture with all the kids in it--where's Kate?!!

Anna's probably thinking- "What in the world is Uncle Scott doing in the tree?"

And Caleb followed his example and is in the tree too!

Next Exhibit: The Robot Zoo

So many fun things for the kids to do here!

They are using the sticky blocks to see what it's like to be an insect.

Camouflage! Now you see Kate...Now you don't!

Where's Ty? Oh he's hiding!

And Anna? She likes to do whatever the big kids are doing!

Next stop: Picnic Lunch!
