Two weeks ago we packed our bags and headed on our way to sunny and beautiful, Southern Californ-i-a for a Lowry Family Vacation. Two of my brothers live in Cali and the rest of us live in Utah so we decided to all go out to California and play for a week where there is many things to see and do.

Caleb is pretty excited to be going on vacation!
Mara is pretty happy to see her extended family
And Ty is pretty serious about his coloring!
We made a few stops along the way--the first one being a quick potty stop in Emery.
We stopped at Kolob Canyon for a quick hike and a picnic lunch. My parents also joined us here and we caravaned the rest of the way to Cali.
The canyon was beautiful--we sure love red rock country!
While we waited for Mimi & Papa to arrive we did a quick 1/2 mile hike to a view point of Kolob Canyon.
And Ty found a few trees to climb along the way!

That was a very scenic day. I want to remember the red highway in the canyon.
Ty is a tree hugger, and so is Scott.
I do remember it was breezy there, and we had to hold down the tablecloth and our hats.
I look forward to more recorded adventures.
I appreciated the clean toilets. Let us remember that May is a good time to see the Canyons.

ISn't vaction fun! What fun hike! I'm jealous you went to CAlifornia... my home! And Ty... is he trying out to be like Edward in Twilight in those trees :)
