Lewis Residence

Our family found a new place of residency!!! Hip-hip-hurray for a new house!! We are so so so excited we can hardly believe it! We have been looking at homes since last November. We must have looked at over 30 homes here in Price. Price has a interesting market, it hasn't really boomed like other places around the nation and hasn't really been hit by the economy digression either. So home prices just kind of stay the same.

The other thing about Price is we didn't want to live South of the railroad tracks! So there goes half the homes. We wanted to live in a certain school boundaries. We also didn't want a home that had major foundation or settling issues: well in Price most homes do have such issues which has caused the foundation to crack, or homes to slope!

Call us picky but after moving 9 times in 9 years we wanted a home that was just right for our family. Nate and I made a list of 5 needs and 5 wants that we each wanted in a home. We knew not all needs and wants would be in one home, that would be asking too much! But we found it! The perfect home! It exceeds our expectations. We hope to call this our home for 30+ years!
It's doesn't look like much from the outside! But it's what's on the inside that counts!

This was the selling point for me on the house! A newly remodeled and extended kitchen. It's all open and a family room right on the side! Love it!

They extended not only the kitchen, but the entire back of the house 10 feet. They added onto the master bedroom and bathroom making it quite exceptional! (Side note--no we have not moved in yet, they just happened to have the same bedroom furniture as we do! It's a sign!)

I've always wanted a master bathroom and this is by far the nicest master bathroom I've seen while looking for a home!

We are excited to do a little painting and new carpet--which is all this home needs, well and new furniture to fill it up!!

This was the other selling factor on the house: the backyard is HUGE!!

Here are a few frequently asked questions about our new home:

How many bedrooms/bathrooms?
It has 5 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms
3 bedrooms up and 2 down.
It will be weird to have each of the kids in their own room! They've always been in the same room!

Is it in the same ward?
It's actually in the ward next to us. We are in the 8th ward and we will be moving to the 7th ward. But we are actually pretty excited about this because it is closer to the elementary and Ty can walk to school. And we have several friends already established in the 7th ward. We will miss our 8th ward friends but we are grateful we had this opportunity to get to know so many people!

When do you move in?

ASAP! We are waiting for our loan to go through and for the other family to move out. They are anxious to move out and be reunited as a family in their move. It will most likely be mid September but the sooner the better!!

What changes need to be made?
Believe it or not it's not a fixer-upper!! We want to paint a few rooms and put in new carpet. We'd like to re-landscape the yard, but I know a really great landscape architect who would be perfect for the job! (Nate!)

I'm sure there are other questions---but I can't really think of them at this time!

We truly feel like this is an answer to our prayers and we are so grateful that we have this opportunity to live in this beautiful home!

I too am thankful that you found this home.
Prayers certainly help in all of life's situations. God is good to you.

It will be fun to fix this house and make it your home. You've done a lot of work for someone else to enjoy.

I was excited to see the new pictures of the children. They are so good looking and growing much too quickly.

I hope everyone can feel better. Love you!

That is a really big house! It's so cute! One of these days we'll get to visit it in person (might be a few months but that will let you settle in). We're really excited for you guys!
