A wonderful day but a terrible night!

Today was our Stake Conference with a special guest speaker: Elder Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. Last night I was very organized--I had the car packed, clothes laid out, and everything was ready to go so we could have a carefree morning: get dressed, hop in the car, and enjoy a wonderful meeting. I even went to bed early so I could get a good night sleep and wake up early for the long drive to the Stake Center (1 hour and 15 minutes away) getting there an extra hour early just for a seat! There was one thing I did not plan for: a car alarm going off all night long which did not allow for that good night sleep! There I was peacefully sleeping when I had a dream of an alarm going off. I tried and tried to turn it off but couldn't. Finally I woke up and realized it was not a dream! There really was an alarm going off! So I ran and got my keys to turn off the car alarm--but it didn't work! It wasn't my car! So I went back to bed put the pillow over my head and tried to sleep. It turned off and I drifted off to sleep....five minutes later BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! All night long! Something kept triggering our neighbor's car or maybe it was malfunctioning on it's own! I finally put in ear plugs around 3 in the morning and slept until 6. Oh what a night! But even with the terrible night sleep we still enjoyed a very nice Stake Conference. We even made it on time and got a seat! It was wonderful to hear from an apostle of the Lord.
