Mara's Surprise!

Mara has a little surprise she wants to share! I can't believe she is big enough to do it....but she is simply amazing!

Just a few weeks ago Mara saw a little blue bike with only two wheels sitting in our garage. She immediately wanted to ride this 'new'-blue bike! (Ty's old bike...but new to her!) So the bike training process began! Mara is one determined little chick! When she sets her mind to doing something--she does it!

Every day, several times a day all we heard was: "Will you help me ride the blue bike?" So Nate and I helped her learn how to ride the bike. Nate worked with her for a couple weeks and she was so so close! I knew she had it, but just needed more practice. So I took her over to the church parking lot where she had more space to ride than the sidewalk and let her go! AND she did it!!! Mara was officially riding a 2-wheel bike!

At first she just needed help getting started! But now, she needs no help! She's got it!

How can my 4-year old little girl be riding a 2-wheel bike already?! And let me tell you...she is FAST! There is no keeping up with this bike-riding-mama!! The other day I put Caleb in the jogging stroller and Mara rode her 2-wheeler and I thought we could go for a nice jog around the block but instead I was running to keep up with her!

I'm really proud of Mara for wanting to learn and practicing so hard on her bike! It will be fun this summer to ride our bikes around Price together!

And before I know it...this little Cay-ub will be riding a bike! He is already taking interest in riding like his big brother and big sister!
