Monday marked a big day for Ty:
He is officially a 1st grader!

We started this special day off with a yummy breakfast (his choice)
pancakes, strawberries, whip-cream, sausage, and orange juice!

Here he is! I can't believe how big Ty really is!

Before I know it he will be graduating and on his mission, but that makes me want to cry, so let's just stick with 1st grade!

When we move into our new house Ty will be able to walk to school, but on his first day we drove over and walked him into his class.

Ty's is a Knight at his Castle Heights Elementary school.

His teacher's name is Miss Campbell. She is young, and very nice. I felt like crying when I walked him in his classroom. Tears welled up in my eyes and a big lump crept up in my throat. But I held myself together! Ty was a brave boy, he didn't want to let go of my hand and kept a strong hold on my arm! I kissed him good-bye and quickly left the class room! (I know it will only be a matter of time when it's way too cool to be seen with mom!)

Two hours later I picked Ty up, it was only a short day. Ty had a GREAT day! He has two friends he knows: Cannon and Dallin. And he likes his teacher. He is a good student and will learn a lot this year. I'm excited for him to be at school, even though I miss him so much while he is away!

How could he not have a great day with that breakfast? Yummy!
He looks so grown up. He likes being the tallest in his class.
I am glad he has friends and hope this year will be super for him.
He is very handsome.
