WoRk + pLaY = LifE

Life is all about work and play. The hard part is finding a good balance of both! I love to work as much as I love to play! I love cleaning, organizing, making things look better. I enjoy starting and finishing projects. I love getting things done. I'm a worker what can I say! I think it's important to teach children how to work. I am grateful my parents taught me the value and importance of hard work. We played a lot and I am grateful for the fun times in my childhood but I am also thankful my parents made me work. We have had a lot of fun this week playing at different parks. We have a pretty good thing going each week: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays we have different playgroups with different friends at different parks! It's a lot of fun for the kids. We usually take their bikes and let them ride around.

Today was our work around the house day instead of play. Boy we got a lot done even though it doesn't really feel like it. You know you live in Oregon when on your 'To-Do List' it says:
  • remove moss from roof
  • spray roof with moss killer
  • scrub algea off deck
  • brush spider webs off house & deck
  • spray the outside of house for spiders
We did all these things PLUS: cleaned the windows inside and out,--(well almost got halfway done before Caleb woke up! Guess I'll have to finish next week!) sprayed lawn for weeds & clover, repotted plants, went to the recycle center and other errands!

PHEWW! What a day! We are all worn out and tired! Our outside of our house sparkles now! It feels good to get things done! Maybe next week when Mimi is here we can play, play, play, and get things done!

I have always admired the gift and skills you have developed to organize. You amaze me.
Unlike you, I clean because I have to. Cleaning is not something I enjoy, but it is necessary.
I have enjoyed refinishing the front door, 4 chairs, the hallways and doors. The mantle looks very nice. I will do the dining room table soon.
I do prefer playing. You do so many fun activities with the children, when I come back in the next life, I want you for my mother.
Thanks for all the updates.
