'wHERE pIGS fLY'

What's one of the most exciting things to come to Tillamook? The Tillamook County Fair of course. The theme this year was: "Where pigs fly." No, we didn't see any flying pigs, but we sure did see many real pigs, goats, horses, sheep, chickens, rabbits and of course cows! Not to mention Ty's favorite exhibit the reptiles:

The other favorite thing for the kids was riding the tractors:

Caleb had a good time just riding around in his stroller:

Ty and Mara loved riding the rides:

And I had a blast riding ALL the rides with my little buddy! We had so much fun together! I made him go on the magic carpet ride with me and his little friend came along. After the ride we were so excited to ride it again but his little friend (who never rides the big rides) said "uh-uh! That ride was too scary for me. I went as high as God, that's too high for me!" I think Ty takes after his mom--the faster, the higher, the better! It was fun to laugh and feel care-free for the afternoon with Ty. I'll never forget riding the spinny-ride with Ty and smashing him in the end of his seat. I tried so hard to hold myself back but the force and gravitational pull just made me smash him! The ride attendant had to stop the ride for us and let us switch places! It was so fast and fun Ty and I just screamed and laughed together!
(My friend took this picture of us on the ride and sent it to me--I wish we had more pictures of us riding the rides together but I couldn't well take my camera on the rides!)

The slide was a lot of fun too. It was fun to watch Ty ride the rides with his little buddies and get excited to see his friends at the fair:
I got a kick out of watching Mara wave at the fair! She did her 'miss America wave' to all the animals 'hello chickens, hello pigs' it was so dang cute! She even waved to her brother on one of the rides: 'hi Ty'
What a great day at the fair! We were there all day long, came home for dinner and went back again with Nate that night! Weeehhhhh! What a fun day! It was really nice to have Mimi there with us. She was a lot of help with the kids. She said she will have to plan her trip next year around the Tillamook County Fair so she can come again--she even had a good time!
