The Beach:
What a perfect day for the beach. It's not very often we have a sunny, non windy, warm, beautiful day! We played in the sand with trucks, fed the seagulls, and even chased the waves in the ocean trying not to get wet! Ya right! Caleb loved feeling the sand in his hands and toes!
The Balls:
Mimi brought with her these fun 'decorative pearl balls'. She bought them from a craft store and you soak them in water over night and they increase in size 150 times! They feel slippery and wet, but they are so fun to play with and mess free! The kids played all morning on a rainy day with them filling up different size bowls and tupperware. It says on the package: These are not a toy! Ya right what a perfect thing for kids to play with!

Nate and I were even able to go on a nice quiet date together (with Caleb that is!) We enjoyed a tasty quiet dinner. Caleb slept right through the meal and it was nice to have an adult conversation together! Then we headed out to Cape Mears for a relaxing stroll with a great view.
A friend of mine told me about swimming at The Best Western for only $5 for the adult--what a deal! We actually went a couple times while Mimi was here. The first time Caleb just kicked his feet on the side, but he wasn't satisfied with that! The second time we put him in his suit and to swim around the pool! OH BABY does our baby love to swim! He takes after his big brother! Both my boys are little fish!
The Trike:
The kids really enjoyed showing Mimi how they can ride their bike and trike. Last time Mimi was out to visit Mara couldn't even peddle her tricycle and Ty wasn't riding without training wheels, now they are cruising around like big kids! Here is their new trick: (Mara also gives Ty a ride on the back which is pretty funny to see as well!)
Well this ends our recap of the exciting things we did with Mimi in Tillamook...but stay tuned because the fun doesn't stop here! Next blog see how we convince Mimi to extend her vacation!
