Last night for our young women's activity we took the girls on a bike ride out on the 'spit' (the jetty) as it's called! It was a lot of fun. We went about eight miles (4 out 4 back). Let me just remind you that I haven't been on a bike since I was a teenager, I don't even own a bike!! I was really excited to go, but oh my goodness I found muscles last night I didn't even know existed! It was quite the workout. The road we went on was a gravely, sandy, bumpy, but pretty good road! The view was pretty awesome, it followed the bay all the way around. There were some foresty parts, and it was really nice. I will say this however: this morning I wasn't as stiff and sore as I thought I would be, although
my rear end hurts SOOO bad! I can't even sit without feeling excruciating pain!
Speaking of riding a bike: Last night as I was out peddling on the jetty Ty was at home riding his little bike without training wheels!! It's true! His daddy took off his training wheels last night and started teaching Ty how to ride a two wheeler bike! Can it be true that my little Ty is ready to ride his bike without training wheels? He was pretty excited about it and when I asked Nate how it went he said 'It was okay, but he will need lots of practice!' I'm so grateful Ty has a willing daddy to teach him how to ride a bike! Thanks Nate!! You go Ty!!

Wow! Way to go TY. I am very proud of you. You have good balance. Only big boys ride bikes without training wheels.
You have the best dad in the world to teach you to ride a bike all by yourself.
Love, Mimi
Ty. :) You make me smile because you are such a big boy. I didn't have a bike and I couldn't ride a bike until I was 7 years old.
I'm so happy that you are a good boy and a good big brother. I want to see you again soon.
I love you and your Sister and Daddy and Mommy. Give them a big hug from Popcorn Papa.
I am glad that you are a young women's leader. The girls are blessed to see your example, and instructed by your spiritually prepared lessons.
You are an asset to them and will make a difference in all their lives if they let you.
We live in such a difficult time when girls have so many personal problems. I know you get discouraged. Keep praying for wisdom and inspiration to know how to help them. The Lord is full of grace and mercy and will help all of you.
I am impressed with the quality of your activities. If the girls choose not to come it is their loss.
Love, Mimi
