More fun in the Rocky's!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day in the Rocky Mountains! It was beautiful! We just love seeing new sights and exploring new places!

I think this is an awesome picture of the different layers in the Rocky Mountains. The higher you climb the more bare it gets. The nice thing about the Rocky's was it hadn't been eaten by the beetles like so much of the Utah mountains so it was so green.

Seeing wildlife is definitely one of our favorite things! You can always tell in a National Park where wildlife is because there are crowds of people gathered around to look at it! This was the only long horn sheep we saw but it was pretty awesome to watch it.

We took a great hike up to the waterfalls. It was just the right length for an 8 month prego woman!

The kids really wanted to play in the waterfall! It would have been fun, but too dangerous! Caleb can't take his eyes off the water and wants to slide down the falls!

I just love these four people! They are my favorite people in all the world! So fun being on vacation with them!

Check this guy out! Wow! We were driving by a scenic spot and we just happened to be right there when a huge herd of bull elk came down the mountain. Had we been five seconds later we would have missed it!

We hiked as close as we could get to the elk!

And just like that the elk went down the other side of the mountain and were gone! Timing is everything! Glad we were at the right place at the right time!

Next we went to the top of the tundra! It's pretty awesome up on top of the mountain!

Right when we started hiking thunder clouds rolled in! Pretty scaring being on top of a mountain in a thunder storm! We did a very quick hike and back!

Two kids on top of the world!

Caleb and Mara--two great hiking kids!

Our kids love doing the Jr. Ranger Programs at the national parks! Ty and Caleb are doing the initiation!

Mara is wearing her badge with pride! She was sure excited to finish the program also!
