Thank you Brigham Young for settling Utah! Utah is definitely the right place! Oh how we love it! We went up to Salt Lake to visit with family. Nate's brother John and his wife Tracie flew in from Alaska for the week and we wanted to go up and see them and spend time with them while they were in town. We decided to go to This Is The Place Heritage Park in Salt Lake.

I haven't been to This is the Place for a long time and boy has it changed! The kids sure enjoyed the activities here and it was fun being together as a family.

Ty visited all the mini houses. It was a fun little village of tiny houses that the kids could play in!

There were enough houses that all the kids could have their own!!

Here's Aunt Chel with her nephews and niece! I know I've probably said this before, but she really is the BEST auntie in the world!

They also had a little wooden toy train that the kids could climb on and play in.

Is he not the most adorable little guy you have ever seen?! Baby Lincoln is growing up way too fast!

Next we went to the petting farm. Caleb wasn't too sure about petting the baby goat! It sure was cute!

Lincoln had no problem petting the snake!

Cay-ub is practicing riding the horse!

Here's Ty with two bulls. Did you know that Ty loves bulls?! His grandpa gave him a long-horn bull and it is one of his favorite stuffed animals!

Our little sweet Beauty riding on Black beauty!

I'm sure glad my kids didn't get my allergy genes! They had no problem riding horses! I couldn't even stand close enough to take the pictures!

Lasso that bull buddy! My grandpa had a bull like this that we would practice roping a bull! Ty was actually pretty good--I guess he got the roping skills.

We watched a blacksmith make a horseshoe. I was so glad the kids could see what a blacksmith is and does. We had talked about our Great-Great-grandfather Samuel Washington Orem who was a blacksmith at the age of 10 and by the age of 17 was earning enough money to support her family of 8 after his father past away.

Here's part of our dear family!

Ty and his daddy in front of their dream home!!

Uncle Johny trying to lift Caleb up through the hole!

What a great way to get around the park! Riding the train! It sure beats walking in the heat!

This was the boys favorite part of the park: panning for gold! They actually found some too and turned it in for candy!

Ty was absolutely thrilled when he saw this pirate ship! Wish I would have gotten a picture of Captain Ty on it!

Now that is a stick house if I've ever seen one!

We also loved riding the little train around the pond. Check out hes

Me & my buddy T-Y snuggling on the train! The seats were a little small for two bums!

Fun fun day with the Lewis Fam! It really was the right place to go! Everyone had a great time seeing the pioneer places and enjoying all the hands on activities.
