Our last trip until school started. Boo-hoo! So sad! But we lived it up and truly had a GRAND adventure in Wyoming at the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone!!

Nate and I have only driven through the Grand Tetons and it has been several years since we've been to Yellowstone, so we decided it was time to go explore this area! We broke up the drive a little and stayed the night in Idaho with Nate's Aunt. It was great to see relatives! The kids were great little troopers in the car. For some reason our kids are really good at road trips! Maybe because we start them young!

We made it! Caleb's stretching his legs at Moose junction! We took a quick trip to the visitors center and then headed straight to the camp sights because they fill up quick and we wanted a good spot!

On our way to the camp sight we looked out our window and right there in the woods right close to the street was a bear!!

We watched the bear from our car for a little while and then it crossed the street right in front of us. It went right down into the camping area and as we were setting up our tent it ran right through our camp sight! It was awesome!

Once camp was set up it was time for a scrumptious lunch and then off to play in the National Park!

The first spot to see was the lake right by our camp. Beautiful! The kids probably could have stayed here and played in the water all day had we let them! But we were so excited to see the rest of the park we took a drive around and explored the area and looked for more wildlife!

As we drove around and stopped at some of the viewpoints all three kids fell asleep in the car! So Nate and I enjoyed the quiet afternoon and took in all the scenery!

Can you believe these mountains?! Incredible!

We found the bison!

If only we could live here!

This is one of the famous Mormon barns on 'Mormon Row'. Back in the early days 5 Mormon families settled here and there are a few barns and homes remain.

When the kids woke up it was time to HIKE!! Yes, that is what our family does best! We love it! And this kid: T-Y loves to climb rocks!! That is what he does best!

This sweet little girl had a bad injury on our hike. She forgot rule #1 about hiking which is 'no running on the trail' and biffed it bad. She skinned up her knees really bad and couldn't hike any more. So Nate and took turns carrying her on our backs. Poor thing.

Check out that raging river!

Ty not only loves climbing on rocks, but trees, anything really! He just loves to hike & climb!

It was so fun building memories and strengthening our family relationships this trip!

We made it to our destination! But I can't remember what the name of this lake is called!

I'm trying to comfort my poor little daughter! We even left our hiking first aid kit in the car, so we used wet wipes, and hand sanitizer to clean and care for her cuts. Glad we had the Ergo back-pack. I was able to carry her all the way back to the car in it and Nate put Caleb on his shoulders!

Can this little boy possibly get any cuter!! He loved looking through the binoculars this trip!

I'm sure glad Ty didn't fall in the stream below! What a brave kid!

More Teton Adventures to come.....!

I think you should call it Paradise lake.
It is so difficult to be in school when there is so much to see and do in our beautiful world.
Enjoyed all the pictures, but was sorry for Mara, and for you to carry her.
You have a most wonderful family.
