It has been one week since we moved into our new home, and boy do we love our sweet new home!! There are many things we love about our house. For those of you who haven't seen our house here are a few photos...
First of all: before we officially closed on our home the seller allowed us to paint before we moved it. This was great because we didn't have to move furniture or worry about getting paint on anything. Although I would like to eventually paint every room in my house we started with the master bedroom. Here are a few before and after shots:

My awesome mom came down and helped me paint my bedroom. It was quite the job. As you can seen before it was a dark, dark, very dark green! It had to go! I wanted things lightened up!

We primed the wall hoping the primer would cover the dark green. It did.

I wouldn't have been able to take on this project without my hard working mother! She saved me in this experience! It was difficult finding the right paint color. We thought we liked a certain color but when it was all done the green wasn't dark enough so we had to repaint the green wall. It was quite a project but I loved how it all turned out.

This is the finished product! It's perfect! The color is exactly what we were going for.

We also painted the other three walls a lighter tan. Now we just need some new curtains!

As you can see there are still a few boxes to take care of and we haven't yet hung up any pictures or done any decorating! That's the next step!

One night we were sitting around the kitchen table and discussing our favorite things about our new house. I couldn't help but say "My favorite thing about this home is the kitchen!" Nate and I were worried that our kitchen table wouldn't fit here in the spot and that we would have to get a new table and chairs....well it fits just perfect!

It's true! I love cooking and baking and making meals for my family and it's so much more joyful in this kitchen!

Three years ago the family extended the house and remodeled the kitchen. You can see the beam up above--that was where the house ended. Now the entire back end of the house is an extra 15 or so feet. Oh how I love it!

As I stand at my kitchen sink doing my dishes I can either watch my cute children playing in the family room or watch TV (if we had it!) At first I thought it was weird to have the kitchen sink in the middle of the kitchen and not by the window, but it's actually great! I love it!

We would like to get new furniture for this room and a new flat screen TV and new paint.....aren't we dreamers!!! Ya right, maybe down the road!! For now it's just right.

Downstairs is where Ty's room is. At first I worried about having him alone down there, but when we were talking about our favorite things about the new house Ty said "My favorite thing is my very own room! I love being downstairs and having my own space down there." The first night I was a little worried about my baby boy being in the dark basement and wondered how he would do. I asked Ty if he wanted me to leave the light on and he said "No mom, don't waste the energy! I'll be just fine!" And he was. He loves having his friends over to play in his room.
The other thing Ty loves is having his dress up clothes right there in his room! I'm surprised I haven't taken any pictures of him in his dress up gear...he is constantly in a different outfit!

Little Sweetie loves her room! Mara also loves playing in her room and she is constantly wearing a different princess dress every day! We hope to paint Mara's room pink and yellow so it looks a little more 'girly'!!

A few days ago our friends gave Mara this princess tent. It fits just right in her room and she loves playing in it especially with her cute little girl friends!

This is Caleb's room! Not a fan of the dark brown colors but a little blue paint is all it needs! Caleb has struggled this week having his own room. While the other two kids are excited about being alone Caleb was sad every night and would cry in his crib. He has always been with Ty and Mara in the same room and felt comfortable with them right there by him. He is doing better and each night it gets easier for him.

Caleb's favorite thing in all the world and his new favorite word: Ball!! Caleb's sport's theme room is perfect for him! He says a million times a day: "ball"!! Even though he has several different toys and his closet is filled with toys this kid is only happy with one thing: a ball! He could play all day with several different balls. Caleb's favorite thing is shooting basketballs in his little hoop. He's pretty good too! He's shoots and scores!

This is the guestroom. As of yesterday it was filled with boxes and a complete mess, but a little work and it is now ready for company! So anytime you are driving this way stop on by your bedroom is ready! We love having family and friends come visit and 'our door is always open!' You are welcome to come see us anytime!

When Nate and I wrote down a list of things we needed and wanted in our new house one of my needs was a fruit room or storage room. This was just what I had in mind! It actually has shelves on every side and soon I hope we have a mini mart in our basement full of a good three month food storage!

This is our downstairs family room...as you can see we have a few tents set up and it looks like quite a mess! Well, this is what our room looks like after watching eight hours of general conference! The kids had a 'reverence tent' where they listened to the prophet and apostles!

The kids were pretty excited to have a bath in the big tub! When we turned on the bubbles to the jacuzzi Ty said "Wow now we have our very own hot tub!"

When The previous owner asked us if we wanted the trampoline I said "Are you serious?! We would love it!" So the tramp came with the house and the kids love, love, love to jump on the tramp!

This cute little boy loves this little car! He was too little to ride in it when we first moved but now he fits just perfect. Our sidewalk has just the right slope that allows Caleb to get some speed as he goes down! He's learned to peddle his little feet until he gets to the slope, holds up his feet and enjoys the fast ride!
Had I not stopped him he would have raced right in the street! I have to really watch this kid, he hasn't learned to use his brakes yet!

Boxes anyone? This is our next area of focus--the garage! Every time we emptied another box we threw it in the garage! Now we need to do something with all these boxes!

What an awesome house! I'm so excited for you! You've made so much progress "moving in" already! That's a lot of work! But, makes me excited for when we get to do that kind of moving in...into a real home, too!
