My little buccaneer turned 7 years old this past week! YIKES! How can that be?! All he talked about for the past 365 days is having a pirate party!! (Last year was super-heros, this year is pirates!!) So we planned not one but TWO pirate parties this year! One for a combo Lewis & Lowry party at Pirate Island another for friends.

I had heard about this place in Orem from a friend "Pirate Island" and thought it might just be the perfect place to have a pirate party!

Inside Pirate Island is
awesome! Totally decked out like something you would find at Disneyland! It wasn't very crowded and we felt like we had the place to ourselves! The service was a little wacky--at least our server was! They are all dressed in pirate gear, but our server wanted to be 'Captain Jack Sparrow' and tried impersonating him--not impressed! Good try!

They had a balloon man come around and make all the kids something out of balloons! he made swords, a pirate, a parrot, and a flower! Pretty fun & creative!

A blue balloon sword for the birthday boy!

One of our favorite things about the party was a surprise visitor all the way from California: Uncle Blake!!

Here is our pirate crew! It was fun to have so many of our family members there. We were only missing Scott & John! Thank you so much family for coming and supporting Ty on his birthday! It was so great seeing everyone!

Mara thought it was so fun 'walking Little Link!' He can't walk yet, but he likes to try if he is holding on to someone! Mara just can't get enough of this little guy!!

The fun part about Pirate Island is the arcade! They had basketball shooting contest, riding motorcycles, games, prizes, everything!

Caleb's favorite part (besides seeing his papa) was playing ski-ball! He thought this was the coolest thing! He couldn't quite figure out how to roll them up, but he sure tried! He mostly threw them as hard as he could! He had a blast!

Mara was so excited! Our favorite thing she said was something like "I just can't believe it! There are so many fun things to do! I don't know what to do!"

And the cake...well this was a fun masterpiece to create! I googled 'pirate cake' and found over a thousand ideas! I wanted something creative but not too hard! I thought this was perfect! It was fun making it, we were worried how it would travel but it survived! It not only looks good but tasted delicious! Chocolate cup cakes with a cream-cheese/chocolate chip filling in the middle, and cream cheese frosting!! YUMMY!

Happy Birthday Buddy!! Ty had a great time at his pirate party! He loved seeing his aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents!! It was a fun fun day for our little pirate boy!

2 cute pirate girls! Auntie Chelsie and Mara! Arrrg Matey!

I don't know what happened on this photo, but it looks like it was taken in a bubble or something--kind of cool!!

Ty received so many nice gifts from family members! Thanks to all!! The last surprise and present of the day was a new scooter!! Ty was thrilled, just what he wanted!
