Fun times had by all!!

This past week the kids and I stayed out in Tooele to be with my folks and see Scott & Lorisa who were in town. Nate had many hours of overtime to catch up on and even though he would have much rather played with his family he had to worked 12 hour days (sorry Nate--we missed you! Thanks for working so hard for your family, we love you!). Everyday was jammed packed with fun things to see and do.

Monday
On Monday we spent the day just hanging around. Nate had the day off and spent the day with us just taking it easy. I gave him a haircut and decided I too wanted a trim. So as crazy as it sounds I asked Nate to cut my hair and he did! It turned out pretty good, especially considering we were both laughing so hard! There were a few spots that he missed but for his first woman's haircut he did a great job!

Monday afternoon was a hot one so Papa and Ty cooled off using Ty's new super soakers and having a water fight. I too wanted to join in the fun so I found the hose--wasn't exactly fair but it was sure fun!

For Family Home Evening Papa helped us make paper boats which we took up Settlement Canyon to have a boat race. The river was swift and our paper boats were weak so one trip down the stream and they sunk and fell apart! Oh well! It was still fun.

Then the kids found a plastic bottle and used it to race down the river. Someone would let it go at the top and we would take turns catching it at the bottom. We also used sticks and had stick races.

The kids loved throwing rocks in the water and had it been earlier and warmer they probably would have jumped right in the river and splashed around and had a great time!

.....to be continued...
