5 Months! (almost)

Caleb will be FIVE months old in just a few days! (Since we will be out of town I thought I'd better do a quick post on our baby before we go!) Last week we took Caleb to see a Pediatrician near Portland. Our family doctor here suggested he see a Ears, Nose, Throat specialist for his loud breathing/snoring/snorting problem, but we felt like we needed a second opinion from an actually baby doctor. This doctor was quite impressed with Caleb's size and said 'he is just a few percentiles away from being called a fat baby!' Caleb weighed in at 16 lbs 13 oz and 25 3/4 inches long.

As for the results from the doctor visit on his breathing, she said Caleb is just fine! The sounds we hear will go away as he grows, she said it may be do to his small little nose! But what a cute little button nose it is!

As for a few things about Caleb at five months...

• he discovered his toes and likes to play with them
• he loves peek-a-boo!
• he enjoys looking at things up-side down
• he has his own personal fan club (biggest fans being Ty & Mara!) they just can't get enough of their baby brother
• he is a mama's boy--although he does love his daddy too
  
• he only likes one kind of binki--trust me I tried many other kinds until we found the perfect fit!
• his eyes are blue & brown (a combination of Ty's & Mara's)
• he loves to be sung to---especially the 'coo-a-r00 song'

Caleb definitely looks more like Caleb! Ty was a lot bigger than Caleb was. In fact this was Ty at five months:

I can't believe all that hair Ty had! Where did all Caleb's hair go?

I couldn't ask for two better boys! I love them both and think they are the cutest boys on the block!

I can't thank my Heavenly Father enough for the perfect little gift from heaven. Caleb is so smiley and fun, a perfectly happy little guy! He just makes life joyful! Our family wasn't complete without him!
