Happy Halloween!!

We had a SUPER Halloween!! This year we went with the Super Mario Brothers theme! I was thinking of just having random costumes this year without a theme but I just couldn't do it! I went to Saver's and DI and found what I needed for some of the costumes!! Others I sewed. It was surprising how much of the material I had on hand...and I just happened to have a kid's vest pattern from 1970 that was perfect for "Toad's vest!" It's kind of fun going from store to store trying to find the needed items to make the costumes, it's like a scavenger hunt!

Here is the sneak peak before Halloween...I had just finished the costumes! The kids were thrilled! Ty--Luigi, Mara--Princess Peach, Caleb--Mario, and Carder--Toad!

This picture is actually from the Wii! The kids love playing Mario  Bros!

Cute little Mario and Toad ready to go to the school!

I was able to go over to Mara's class and help with the Halloween Party!

While we were at Mara's party Carder came in contact with peanuts! I was passing out snacks and they had granola bars that may have had peanuts. He didn't eat any, but he touched some, and ate a few other items that had been around it. Anyway, the scariest thing ever on Halloween! Carder's eye swelled up, his face turned red! I had to pick up Nate from the airport but I wasn't sure if I should go to the hospital instead! I had given Carder benadryl, I grabbed the epi-pens and raced to the airport. We watched him and I said may prayers along the way and luckily Carder was ok.

Our cute little crew!! They are ready to go trick-or-treating!

Ty looks grumpy, and mad but he said he couldn't smile with his mustache on!

Two brothers! They pretended the pumpkins were fire-power!

Our little princess peach, she makes the best princess!

Caleb was so excited to be Mario! He sure makes a cute Mario!

Oh he must melts my little heart! I think I love his hat the most! I made it out of scraps of fabric! I think it turned out great!

We had a great time trick-or-treating! We went to almost every house in the neighborhood!!
