We moved out of Price in April and we had an offer on a new house. As the time got closer to closing and we thought more and more about this house Nate and I did not feel right about it. We both felt like it wasn't the right house for us! We backed out of our offer and with faith and lots of hope we moved forward not knowing where or when we would move into a new house. In the mean time we stayed with my folks and tried to make the best of it in our temp. housing! It wasn't easy and I know we drove my folks crazy with our feelings of frustrations about our housing situation! But we are so grateful for their hospitality and kindness to us. They never complained about having us there and in fact acted like they loved having the extra roommates! While we were homeless and waiting on the Lord to reveal where we should live
we tried making the most of it playing at parks and doing other fun
activities!!
I can't believe how much this little boy grew up while we were at Mimi and Papa's! Carder learned so many new words and his talking increased so much. He also learned to swing on a big kid swing!!
I think we went to a new park every day! Thank goodness there were so many different parks in their little town! We would try to go first thing in the morning before it got too hot!
They all had fun playing together and I know we grew closer as a family during this experience!
When we were tired of all the parks we went to 'Aunt Julie's' and played on her playground!
And sometimes we would play in the neighbor's backyard!
Whatever or wherever we could do to keep from going crazy and being bored!
The kids loved running through the sprinklers...even if the water was freezing cold! They had a good time and tried getting warm in a little spot of sunshine!
We went up Settlement canyon several times just to throw rocks in the water! "Splash!" Carder's favorite game!
And then there were times we headed to Salt Lake to play and have fun! This day we went to Scheel's and looked at all the animals! We had a fun ride on the indoor Ferris-wheel!
There was lots to see and do and it was a fun filled day!
Another day we went to REI and did some shopping and checked out all their cool camping gear!
After a day full of fun nothing is better than putting your feet up and taking a little nap!
We even had fun on the weekends and could go to the Bee's game! The kids loved riding the train more than watching the game!
Two buddies! There might be an eight year age gap here, but they are still great friends and Ty is such an amazing big brother!
Great memories for the kids! They loved having this opportunity to stay with their Mimi and Papa. It was a unique experience to stay at my 'Grandma and Grandpa's' house! I'm sure if the kids look back on this experience and can remember it will be one of fun and happy times!!
