I must admit I do not like the fact that the days are getting cooler and the sun is setting sooner and summer is officially over! But the one thing I do love about fall is the autumn leaves changing color! Last weekend the Lewis Family drove down to Price and we took a drive up the Manti La Sal National Forest to see the leaves and the fire damage from the summer forest fires. It was a beautiful fall day perfect for such a trip! ,
The first stop was to the Crandall Canyon Memorial.
The kids loved having little Lincoln with us! They all wanted to hold his hand and be with him every minute! We love little Lincoln!
I just love the bright yellows, dark reds, and awesome orange colors! It is simply amazing!
Such cute and darling kids! They all loved being outside in nature!
Mara can't pass up climbing a tree!
Mara is an excellent tree climber!
I think Mara must have learned how to climb a tree by watching her big brother!
Ty loves climbing trees! He is not scared of heights!
This baby boy loved the road trip! Although Carder's eyes were mostly closed and he slept most of the time we were able to catch a picture with 'baby eyes open'!!
The greatest Auntie in the world!
Thanks Auntie Chelsie for all the cute T-shirts! It's true--Carder is what handsome looks like!!
Four bumps on a log!!
We stopped for a tasty picnic in the woods! We couldn't ask for a nicer day! It wasn't too cool or too hot.
We stopped at a few sights along the way. One of the spots was where the mammoth was dug up.
Two brothers!!
We love Aunt Beanie!! We went for a nice hike looking for beaver ponds.
Here is a little beaver cutting down a tree! We didn't see any real beavers but we saw plenty of trees that looked like beavers had just been there!
We found a pond with lots of beaver lodges in it. We were hoping to see beavers swimming in the water but no luck!
Mara is good at balancing!
What an angel! He was a great trooper! He slept most of the trip!
While the boys went fishing with grandpa Mara sewed with her grandma! She said "I rather sew than watch TV!" Mara is really good at sewing thanks to her Grandma.
