Who knew one little tiny town could have so many Easter egg hunts! Every day there was another Easter Egg hunt somewhere! We sure had fun celebrating Easter this year!
The first hunt we went on was at the justice center. Caleb was all set with his bucket ready to fill it up with eggs, but there were so many people there he only got two eggs! That's ok, he did get a nice net to catch bugs! So he didn't seem disappointed!
The only thing I'll remember about this Easter egg hunt was how windy it was! Dirt was flying everywhere and by the time it was over I felt like we were covered in dirt head to toe! It was nasty!!
The other egg hunt that we participated in was at the Wave Pool! I didn't get any pictures but it was pretty cool to watch a bunch of kids diving and swimming to get eggs. It was much harder than it seems to try and swim with a bucket/basket in the water and dive at the same time to fill up your bucket! The kids had fun though!

Friday is always decorate the Easter eggs day! Each kid had 1 dozen eggs to color! That is 36 hard boiled eggs total! That is a lot of eggs! (And had I let them they would have done 36 more!)
The Easter Bunny hid over 100+ eggs throughout the house! The kids spent all Saturday looking for eggs! Just when we thought we found them all there was another one hiding! The Easter Bunny tried hiding the Hard Boiled eggs in open viewing so none would be lost! By the end of the day we were missing 6! Nate was not too happy with the idea of having 6 hard boiled, rotten, stinky eggs hiding in the house! But the mystery of the missing eggs was soon solved when we looked in Caleb's basket and there they were hiding at the bottom! All 36 hard boiled eggs accounted for!
I love watching my kids color Easter eggs! They are so creative and clever! It is a fun tradition! It brings back many Easter memories for me!
Easter celebration is not really about Easter eggs, or bunnies, or candy!! It was nice to have fun and enjoy those things too but it was even more nice to put it all away on Saturday and focus on the true meaning of Easter: The Resurrection of Jesus Christ!
We had a really special Family Home Evening talking about our Savior and the events of that first Easter many years ago. We each shared our thoughts and feelings about Jesus and it was nice to hear Ty's testimony about the Savior. Then we watched a few Easter clips from lds.org.
