Good-bye Fall---Hello Winter

Really? Seriously? Is fall over already?! How can this be? It came and went so fast!! I love beautiful fall days: blue skies, perfect temperatures with a hint of coolness, colored fall leaves.
I love autumn!!

One day for play group we all met at Amber 's house (one of the moms in our group) for leaf raking. We all brought our rakes and had a fun time visiting, playing in the leaves, and eating doughnuts and drinking cider.
Really we didn't get many leaves raked but we sure did have a fun day playing with friends in the leaves.

Mara had so much fun playing in the leaves!

Amber must have had a dozen trees full of leaves! We barely made a dent in the leaves!

What a great little helper!

And here's Caleb trying to be a helper also! Good job little buddy!

It's raining leaves!! Mara loved throwing the leaves up in the air and watching them fall!

Caleb and Jericho!

Two cute friends on the fence!

Just when we were enjoying the nice fall weather it turned cold and we knew snow was on the way.
The weather man predicted several feet of snow. They said we would have the blizzard of the century. Schools were canceled, stores closed early. We prepared ourselves for the worst.
And then....The snow came, but it really wasn't that bad! It was a storm, yes, and it snowed, yes, but it really wasn't as bad as the weathermen made it sound!! A few inches is all!

Just enough snow for a fun morning in the snow!

I don't think Caleb remembered the snow from last year because he was so fascinated by the cold powdery whiteness!

Mara tried digging in the snow!

Three little snow buddies! What a good big brother giving Mara and Caleb a ride!

Hold on tight Mara and Caleb!! Caleb kept falling off the back!

What a pretty snow princess!

Ty was fascinated with the ice chunks and icicles he found!

Two brothers!! Caleb standing there in the snow reminds me of Ty when he was a little boy!

The kids were disappointed that the snow didn't pack and they couldn't make a snowman! Maybe next time!

Caleb did a pretty good job playing in the snow! He kept saying "brrrr" for cold!

They aren't just snow angels! They are my angels!

Way to go Ty! Thanks for helping Mimi & Papa shovel the snow!

Go Ty Go!! Pull! Pull!

You can barely see an inch of Caleb! Only his little eyes are peaking out!

It's great snow for making snow angels!

Ty asked if I would take a pictures of his snow angel!

Grandma's swing is even fun in the winter!

Ty and Daddy made this ice sculpture for Mimi and Papa's window! It was pretty cool.

Autumn is my favorite season. I love the cooler weather and the beautiful colors here in the mountains.

So little snow for such a big warning. I bet everyone was glad that school was closed.

It was too cold for the snow to pack and make any sculpture. They all had a good time.
I was happy to stay inside and get ready for Thanksgiving.

Thanks so much for coming home. I love all of you very much.
