Doctor! Doctor!

Monday Night:
Daddy arrives home from work. I'm busily getting dinner on the table. We are moments away from eating when THUD! WAHHHH! BLOOD! TEARS! AHHHHH! Mara was playing under one of the kitchen chairs and pulled it over on top of her. She bit through her bottom lip and needed to go to the ER. So much for a nice family dinner together and Family Home Evening. Nate took her to the doctor and luckily it wasn't too bad she only needed ONE stich. She was a trooper and thanks to a kind and loving daddy he held her close and took good care of her. After the doctor stitched Mara up Nate took her to the store to pick up her perscription and let her pick out a treat: fresh rasberries! yum!

Tuesday Afternoon:
Caleb has been sick for over a month now with ear infections and 'bright red beefy 3x's the size tonsils' (as the doctor put it). He has been on three different antibiotics. Our doctor refered us to a Ear, Nose, Throat doctor near Portland. I went expecting the worst: surgery, probably tubes in his ears. The doctor came in went over Caleb's chart asked a few questions and then looked in his ear. It looked fine. Looked in the other ear, again fine. Gagged my poor kid with a long tongue depresser to check out his throat: looked great! WHAT? How could this possibly be?
The Power of the Priesthood and the Power of Prayer! On Sunday I asked Nate to give Caleb a blessing. There is no other explanation than divine intervention! I am indeed grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who hears and answers my prayers. I am also grateful that He would be so kind to bless Caleb and heal him. I am grateful for the priesthood in my home and for a wonderful husband who holds the priesthood and blesses his family with it. This was nothing short of a miracle. Miracles do happen. God is real. I am grateful for my faith that allows me to trust in God. He Lives and He loves all his children.

I too am grateful for this miracle. He has been one sick boy.
I am grateful that Nate is a worthy Priesthood holder and willing to give blessings. It is good that you are feeling better and that Mara's lip is stitched back together. May your days improve from here.
