Pizza, Strikes, & Dragons

What does pizza, strikes, and dragons have in common?
Absolutely nothing!
But when put all together over one weekend it turns out to be quite a fun experience!
Friday night we had our friends Wendy & Spencer over for a pizza party.
Then we headed over to Helper for a night of bowling.

Caleb sure wanted to try it out!

This is how Mara bowled--down on the ground and pushed her ball.

Ty is quite the good bowler!

I wonder what Caleb is thinking about!

Mara takes her position: thank goodness for bumper lanes!

Everyone got a strike--even Ty!

Bowling just isn't for Caleb--he wanted to run down the lane and push down the pins!
He did not want to be held back!

Nice bowling position Mara!

Mara's attention span was only about half a bowling game--but she did have a fun time!

Caleb's favorite thing was riding the horse! Giddy-up cowboy!

We couldn't resist giving all three kids a ride on the horse!

Saturday we took the kids to see "How to Train Your Dragon"
Not really a kid movie!
As it began Ty said "Do we really have to watch the whole thing?"
After it was over we asked Mara "Did you like the movie?"
"NO! It was too scary. I had to cover my eyes like this!"
Caleb thought it was pretty exciting!
He even sat on my lap the entire movie.
After the movie was over we were walking out to our car Ty said
"I wish I had a real dragon that could take me to school everyday. That would be cool!"
I liked that we could get 5 people into a movie for free--that's right FREE!
(Thanks to some thrifty shopping and a few free coupons!)

Ready for the movie to start!
(I wanted to get a picture of Ty and I...but the batteries on my camera died right then!)

Erica, I'm so impressed that you do all of these fun activities with your kiddos! I would be on a stretcher by now. We brought the boys bowling the other night....Ryan did great. Evan was a crazy man he wanted to "frow the balls" and run down the lanes etc. His protests are very LOUD! I had to leave Ryan and hubs at the alley to finish. I guess we were too loud for league night??? Sorry Tillamook Bowl.
