Fall is in the air--you just wouldn't know it with the GORGEOUS weather we've been having here in Tillamook! The past week an a half has been nothing but sunshine and blue skies! It's been warmer this week than the past summer! We had a BBQ and picnic outside one night for dinner, we've been working in the yard, and last week I took Ty & Mara up to canyon to see the beautiful colored leaves. I was actually surprised how green it still was up there. Ty and Mara had so much fun throwing rocks in the water (of course!) and Ty found a big stick and was 'fishing for leaves'!! Give him a stick and a rock and he's good to go for the entire afternoon! We went for a nice walk up the Trask River.

The Halloween season wouldn't be the same without carving pumpkins! For Family Home Evening we carved our pumpkin and the kids had a lot of fun pulling out the seeds and guts from the pumpkin! Ty helped draw the face on the pumpkin and although I thought our artistic daddy should do the honors of carving he let mama use the knife! Daddy did the design and I did the cutting action! Mara had fun for the first few minutes then she just wanted to hang out on daddy shoulders! One of our favorite parts of carving pumpkins this year was roasting the seeds---yum!
Stay tuned for some darling little kids in their Halloween costumes...coming soon!

What fun!!! I want to play too. You are right about Ty and a stick. This is my favorite time of the year, and it is gorgeous.
I can't believe Mara's hair is long enough for a Ponytail. She is so beautiful.
I loved their costumes. They looked like they were having a good time showing them off. I think you will get your money out of them. I like the extenders.
I am so glad that you have kept the tradition of Pumpkin Carving going in your family. We did that until Scott left for his Mission.
He and Lorisa are carving Pumpkins with the youth tonight. You were all so creative in the faces you made.I hope no one throws them in the street. We had to put ours inside the windows.
Nate is so artistic, I am sure he added his special touch. Thanks for the blog. It is wonderful to see such happy children and parents playing together.
Love, Mimi
Did I see some sort of baked bread in the background of you carving the pumpkin... is that bannana bread. Girl, you amaze me with all your mad skills as a mother/wife. Nate sure is lucky!
LOVE the fall leaves, those are so fun! And you take such great pictures!!!!
Yes Heidi!! It is bread you see--zucchini bread (or as Ty likes to call it cucumber bread!) Yum!
HI ERICA!! I have actually searched for you--hoping you'd have a blog somewhere. But, I just never found you! I'm so glad you found me! You look wonderful...and so does your family. Can't wait to be able to keep in touch now with such a dear friend! Love ya!
